Plus-Plus is so fun! Plus-Plus unboxing

Every time I see this kind of toy with simple design but endless creativity, I literally will be in a state of "falling into a black hole" - this means I will buy more, let my child play with them more and seek for a new way to play. This kind of building blocks the more is the merrier. For my daughter Pupu, I don’t really need to give he any instructions, she already is an expert in building blocks. This time, let us see what Pupu can create with Plus-Plus.

On Saturday morning, Pupu is very considerate while taking care of Dad, she is playing with building blocks quietly, lol, see how her father sleep.

Midi are very easy to assemble.

There is a nice feeling when you holding Midi, it is thick but not heavy and not light either, it is hard for me to describe, but when you assemble Midi I feel very therapeutic.

At the beginning, you can accompany your child to combine the 2D images first. The 2D pattern of the butterfly is very suitable for children to learning symmetrical patterns. Parents can do one side first, and then let the children practice the other side. I also took my CD as a scale, see how big the butterfly is, hahaha.

Combining 2D designs no longer can satisfy me! Here are my creation, not Pupu’s.

I don’t think about what I would like to create from the beginning, but the inspiration is suddenly come into my mind. Although, my Avengers creation is very cute, but Pupu will have no feeling at all, she is more of a princess girl. Then, I try to create princesses, who know I create it until 2 AM.

And, I finally made it!! The 4 princesses. Can you tell who they are?

Don’t tell me you can’t tell yah! It is very obvious.

Although the Snow White is wearing culotte, but you can see right? It is Snow White.

Even a 5 years old girl can tell that she is the “Let it Go”.

I am super satisfied with Ariel’s tail.

And~~~They can also exchange their skirts, hahaha!

Of course, it’s no problem to create a more masculine designs. Like this excavator, it can really dig. Different angles can be changed between building blocks and building blocks. You can also change the angle of excavator to give them a digging position.

You can create so many designs with the Mini. There are 3 collections of Mini, which is Neon, Pastel, and Rainbow.

Let us start from what Pupu choose, of course the dreamy Pastel collection. There are so many different colors in each box. What a fun combination! The color of the pastel collection looks really comfortable.

If you choose the big box, please prepare to not receiving any instruction card. But don’t worry, if you go to Plus-Plus official website, they have a section special for finding inspirations.

220 pieces of 3 in 1 Pastel collections in very suitable for an entry level, the price is also affordable!

3 in 1 means that with this box you can create 3 works. But because it is only 220 pieces, you might need to disassemble after you finish it in order to create the other one.

The whole series of Plus-Plus building blocks are made in Denmark, which I think this is very rare now.

There are details of each colors quantity, however, is there anybody who really recount them? I am too lazy to do that.

It comes with a How to Assemble card.

I formed a track, carriages, cargo compartments, stations, and fences.

Not long after that Pupu create a glasses.

Plus-Plus blocks can form a circle or other arcs by changing the angle of the connection between the blocks. For a five-year-old Pupu, there is basically no difficulty in combining and assemble the blocks.

Plus-Plus texture is not only a plastic texture, it is a plastic but also have an elastic feeling. But since the Mini collection is relatively small, it still need some effort to combine. So I need to take a break after playing with Plus-Plus, not only Pupu enjoyed playing with Plus-Plus, even me the adult is also enjoy it very much.

We’ve been ‘stuck’ at home since the beginning of 2020, it is already more than a year nowr. Some countries might start letting kids back to school, some countries might still struggle and decide to extend the lockdown. With this article, I would like to share my observation through all this pandemic time. How it affect our baby product business. You will be surprised that actually the toy industry are rising. And what toy category that rising up so much during pandemic.

Parents pointed to loss of income and uncertain economic climate as two factors that would require them to rethink some of their spending even when stores reopen their doors.  Just another factor certain to affect toy sales this year. 

So what steps can toy makers take to head off these challenges?  They must do what they do best: turn to new bells and whistles and think outside the box.

1. Toy brands should turn to new ways to engage moms and kids which allow them to interact with their toys. 

2. Leveraging influencers to host in-home playdates that allow kids to touch and play with the hottest new toy while moms look on is just one way. 

3. It might also include product demonstrations in driveways and cul-de-sacs, or the seamless integration of social media with platforms that really matter to moms.

Now is the time for toy makers to be as innovative with their marketing as they are with their new products.  With a little creativity and strategic thinking, toy makers have the opportunity to navigate the shift in family toy buying that’s headed their way.

The rising toy category during pandemic

In late April, sales of Legos were up 64% year over year on eBay Australia, and rose as high as 92% one Sunday night. Basic Fun, the maker of Lite-Brite, Lincoln Logs, and K’nex—old-school toys that require users to think creatively and put things together with their bare hands—has also seen sales soar. Chief Executive Jay Foreman told the New York Post that the company had its best first quarter ever this year.

Do you remember how you felt when you were learning mathematics? Memorizing formulas, writing them over and over but don’t understand it. This is the way we generally learn mathematics. Newmero is a compound word, new + numero (number number in French). It is a brand-new building block teaching aid specially designed for children who do not understand the concept of math. Children's acceptance of building blocks is very high, thus the founder designed a building block to let children easily understand the concept of mathematics from their textbook, and combined with the teaching plan, so that Newmero's unique shape and color can easily let children learn mathematics through games.

For example, when kids does not understand which number is bigger between 11 and 7? The concept of 534 turns out to be 500+30+4. Which is larger and how are numbers related and sorted? Simply stack the bricks on top of each other using the connector knob and the counting knobs will provide guidance.

Which numbers are friends of 10?

Two bricks that “bonds to 10” fit together along the jigsaw pattern like a puzzle on the side. 2 and 8 show the match on the picture. The bricks can also do “Bonds to 100” and “Bonds to 1000”!

If they are not friend of 10, why?

The bricks can also explain where to look for the answer. Simply place them back against back and the bricks will explain where to look for the answer. Do you need a smaller or bigger number to find the friend of 10?

What is the structure of multidigit numbers?

• The Newmero bricks fit together if the numbers are right. If the child chose to put together wrong Friends of 10, then the Newmero bricks will not fit like a puzzle
