The best pacifier plush toy holder in 2026

Philips Avent Soothie Snuggle Pacifier:

4.7 out of 5 based on 443 customer reviews in Amazon

Philips Avent Soothie Snuggle pros:

  • The soft plush toy comes with the Soothie you know and love.

  • Plush toy easily detaches from Soothie and both are easy to clean. Plush toy can be machine or hand washed. Soothie can be cleaned in dishwasher, a sterilizer or in boiling water.

  • Have extra holder for any pacifier, so you can use it with whatever baby likes best.

Philips Avent Soothie Snuggle cons:

  • The quality of this holder should be improved, and I’m mostly referring to the sewing part.

  • The most pricey one among pacifier holder with plushies.

RaZbaby RaZ-Buddy JollyPop Pacifier Holder

4.6 out of 5 based on 668 customer reviews in Amazon

RaZbaby RaZ-Buddy JollyPop pros:

  • Very smooth and soft

RaZbaby RaZ-Buddy JollyPop cons:

  • These toys are smaller than the other brands and are not weighted.

  • The fuzz gets all over the pacifier. Maybe because it is too long?

  • Pacifier moves around way too much, it can’t stay still.

  • Hard to attach a Soothie pacifier to it because of the small holes on pacifier and large ribbon that Jollypop used.

Queebi Pacibuddy

4.8 out of 5 based on 55 customer reviews in Amazon

Queebi pacibuddy pros:

  • Queebi pacibuddy has silicone ring, it attaches to more than 95% kind of pacifiers on the market, even to the Avent Soother, they are a perfect match.

  • They have a gift set which contain a story book, the story book have a QR code on the back linked to the audio in their website. Very nice, you can play it as bedtime story while the kids are sleeping, or even read along with them.

  • This is one thing I love the most: I am super duper loving the concept of different animals represent different characteristics. They have 6 main characthers: Crab, Crocodile, Deer, Fox, Koala, and Lion. Each animals have their own storyline which is very insteresting, check it here.

  • They have wide range of products, not only pacifier, they also have swaddle and comforters.

Queebi pacibuddy cons:

  • Some people said the plushies are a bit too small even for baby.

WubbaNub Infant Pacifier

4.8 out of 5 based on 385 customer reviews in Amazon

WubbaNub pros:

  • WubbaNub have more animals plushies to choose from, some are cuter.

  • The weighted front feet which filled with beans help keep the pacifier in the mouth.

  • Cheaper price, yeay!

WubbaNub cons:

  • Because the Wubbanub is attached to a Soothie pacifier, it is only recommended for 0-6 months (not for baby with teeth).

  • Wubbanub is attached, there is no way to change out a damaged pacifier.

  • I’m sad to say that this smelled and even tasted like a rubber tire, but maybe it is only the one I received.

Nuby Calming Natural Flex Snuggleez Pacifier

4.4 out of 5 based on 102 customer reviews in Amazon

Nuby Calming Natural Flex Snuggleez pros:

  • A lot cheaper than any pacifier holder plushies brands.

Nuby Calming Natural Flex Snuggleez cons:

  • My baby was not able to keep pacifer in mouth. I don’t know whether it is too heavy or the pacifier is too hard.e!

6 Points to prevent potential risks of using teethers

  • Carefully read the product instructions and warnings, and clean as instructed.

  • Before and after each use, wash with mild soapy water, then rinse with water.

  • Carefully inspect children while they’re using it. If any damage or liquid leakage is found, discard it immediately.

  • Do not hang teether on the child's neck with a rope or strap to avoid accidents.

  • If congestion occurs in young children, send them to hospital immediately for medical treatment.

A Parent's Guide to Open-Ended Toys and Their Benefits

Editor's Note:

This article has been updated to be a comprehensive guide on the concept of open-ended play. The original brand examples have been removed to focus on the philosophy and benefits of choosing toys that nurture creativity and grow with your child.

Wonder is the beginning of wisdom.

This quote perfectly captures the magic of childhood, and the best toys are the ones that protect and nurture that sense of wonder.

What is an Open-Ended Toy?

An open-ended toy is one that can be played with in many different ways. It isn't bound to one form of play.

For example, a character-specific action figure often has a pre-defined story, and a video game can only function in the way it was programmed. But an open-ended toy acts like a blank canvas. The experience is entirely child-led, relying on the child to manipulate the toy and bring it to life with their own imagination.

A simple set of building blocks can be a castle one day, a spaceship the next, and a fence for toy animals the day after. A colourful set of silicone arches—a new and safe alternative to traditional wooden toys—can be a stacking game, a tunnel for cars, a cradle for a doll, or even a mold for baking. With an open-ended toy, everything is possible.

The Benefits of Open-Ended Toys

"The more ways a child can play with a toy, the more he will learn."

1. It Encourages Creativity and Problem-Solving

Because there's no pre-defined way to play, children are forced to create, experiment, and solve problems as they explore the world around them. This type of play can constantly evolve as a child's imagination grows more complex.

2. It Fosters Social Development and Interaction

When children play together with open-ended toys, they have to discuss, negotiate, and collaborate. "Should we build a tall tower or a long bridge?" "This piece can be the car, and that piece can be the driver." These social interactions are crucial for developing cognitive and emotional skills.

3. It's More Cost-Effective in the Long Run

This is a huge advantage for parents! While a trendy, single-purpose toy might be exciting for a week, open-ended toys grow with your child for years. A set of blocks, a doll, or a collection of versatile shapes will be used in increasingly complex ways as your child develops. The learning opportunities are endless, making them a far better investment.

4. It's Better for Development

The best open-ended toys are often made from high-quality, safe materials like platinum silicone. This material is soft, durable, bacteria-resistant, hypoallergenic, and BPA-free. It can often resist a huge range of temperatures, meaning it can be used in the freezer, the oven, and the dishwasher, extending the play possibilities even further.

Summary: A Gift That Keeps on Giving

When searching for the perfect toy, first ensure it is safe and age-appropriate. Once that is established, evaluate its "play potential." Remember that the more ways a child can play with a toy, the more they will learn.

Open-ended toys truly are the gifts that keep on giving, providing years of creative play and developmental benefits.

Ready to Inspire Your Child's Imagination?

Choosing toys that are simple, smart, and safe is the best way to support a lifelong love of learning.

How to Choose an Award-Winning Baby Toy: A Parent's Guide

Editor's Note:

This article originally celebrated the 2019 Mother & Baby Awards winners. As part of our commitment to providing evergreen, valuable advice, it has been updated to be a general guide on what makes a baby toy "award-winning." The specific brands mentioned are for illustrative purposes of the product types that win, not as an endorsement of brands we may no longer carry.

What Makes a Baby Toy "Award-Winning"? A Look at the Industry's Best

For over 25 years, the Mother & Baby Awards have been one of the most rigorous and respected awards in the parenting industry. What makes them so special? They are judged by the real experts—an army of over a thousand real parents who live with these products for a month and give their honest, unfiltered opinions.

When a product earns this seal of approval, you can trust it's been thoroughly put through its paces for reliability, quality, and value for money.

Instead of just looking at a list of past winners, let's analyze the types of products that win and the key features that make them stand out. This will empower you to choose the best possible toys for your baby.

The Qualities of a Gold-Standard Baby Toy

Here are the categories of toys that consistently win awards and the features that make them shine.

Category 1: The Innovative Teether

Teethers are a must-have, but an award-winning one goes beyond a simple plastic ring.

  • What to look for: A winning teether is often made from 100% food-grade silicone, making it soft, flexible, and completely safe. The design is ergonomic, with handles or shapes that are perfectly sized for tiny hands to grip. The most innovative feature is often a dual purpose, such as having textured bumps that not only soothe sore gums but also double as a teething gel applicator, helping parents apply medication right where it hurts.

Category 2: The Versatile Activity Center

The best activity centers are investments that grow with your child, providing value for many months.

  • What to look for: Look for a product that converts and adapts. A winning model might transition from a seated entertainer for a younger baby into a walk-around or stand-and-play activity table for a toddler. It should offer 360 degrees of play, with a variety of engaging toys, lights, sounds, and textures to stimulate all of your baby's senses.

Category 3: The Developmental Play Gym

A simple mat on the floor is good, but an award-winning play gym is a hub of development.

  • What to look for: The key is interactivity and adjustability. Look for play gyms with adjustable arches that can be moved to suit your baby's developmental stage. They should be rich with sensory experiences: dangling toys to encourage reaching and batting, baby-safe mirrors for self-discovery, and a variety of crinkly fabrics and soft textures on the mat itself.

How to Choose Your Own "Award Winner"

When you're shopping for your baby, you can act like your own judge. Don't just look at the brand name; look for the features that provide real value, support development, and make life easier and more fun for you and your baby.

The Magic of Open-Ended Toys: 6 Ways to Play With One Toy

A Note from the Editor:

Over the years, we've had the privilege of partnering with many innovative brands. While some of those partnerships evolve and change, the impact of a truly great product idea stays with us. This article is a celebration of one such idea: the open-ended, multi-functional silicone toy. While the specific brand that inspired this post is one we no longer distribute, the concepts here are universal and a testament to what makes a toy truly special. We hope it inspires you

Keeping your little one busy is one of the great challenges of parenthood. But what if "busy" could also mean learning, developing, and creating? The simple answer is to choose toys that engage them on a creative, emotional, and educational level.

Today, we want to celebrate a category of toy that does it all: the open-ended silicone toy. You’ll be amazed at how one simple toy can be so useful and so functional.

6 Ways to Play With One Amazing Toy

1. As a Safe First Teether

This is the perfect way for a baby to start playing. A toy made from 100% food-grade or platinum-based silicone is soft, durable, and completely safe for a 6-month-old to use as a teether. The flexible material is perfect for soothing sore gums.

2. For Learning Shapes and Colors

We all help our children develop language skills by naming shapes and colors. An open-ended toy set with various shapes and vibrant colors is a perfect tool. It will help your child learn to classify by form and color. But remember: you are their best toy. The more you play with them, the more they learn.

3. As an Educational Tool for Symbolic Play

The best educational toys have no set rules. Their multiple combination possibilities enhance symbolic play and stimulate a child’s creativity and imagination. Let them invent their own games. This kind of calm, creative play will slowly teach them to empathize, to share, and to respect turns and rules.

4. As a First Construction Toy

A flexible silicone toy is a fantastic first construction set. Many of the skills children demonstrate, from writing to athletics, are a direct consequence of strong sensorimotor development. A toy that can be stacked, balanced, nested, and configured in endless ways provides the ideal context for creating stories and is even the perfect inspiration for their first informal math lessons.

32070107_362331634288065_8625743641312231424_n.jpg

5. As a Bath, Pool, and Beach Buddy

Do you have a child who doesn't enjoy bath time? A great silicone toy can change that. Because the material is waterproof and durable, it can go anywhere. Bring it to the beach and combine it with sand and water play. Stack the pieces as high as you can before the next wave comes!

6. As a Mold for Cooking and Crafts

This is where a truly great toy design shines. High-quality silicone is often safe for temperatures up to 220°C (425°F), which means it's dishwasher and oven safe. You can use the same toy that your baby teethed on to make fun-shaped muffins, crayons, or ice cubes with your older child. It transforms the toy into a tool for bonding time in the kitchen.

A toy that a child can use from 6 months to 6 years is more than just a toy; it's an investment in a childhood of creative play.

A Parent's Ultimate Guide to Choosing the Perfect Teether

Editor's Note:

This foundational guide has been updated to be a comprehensive resource for parents. All specific brand recommendations have been removed to focus on the essential features and safety criteria you should look for when choosing any teether.

Around 4-5 months old, many babies enter the "oral phase"—a developmental stage where they have a natural tendency to put everything in their mouths. To ensure they aren't chewing on unsafe objects, this is the perfect time to introduce a teether.

Giving a teether not only helps stimulate your baby's gum and jaw development but also provides immense relief from the itching and soreness of teething. But with so many options, how do you choose the perfect one?

How to Choose the Perfect Teether: A 4-Point Checklist

A good quality teether is durable, easy for your baby to hold, and safe to chew on. Here’s what you need to look for.

1. Prioritize Safe, Non-Toxic Materials

This is the most important rule. Since this item will be in your baby's mouth, the material must be completely safe.

  • Look for 100% food-grade or medical-grade silicone. It's soft, durable, and naturally free of harmful chemicals.

  • Check for safety certifications. The packaging must clearly state that the product is BPA-free, PVC-free, and Phthalate-free. BPA (bisphenol-A) is a harmful chemical that should always be avoided in baby products.

  • Consider natural options. Unfinished, naturally antibacterial wood (like maple) or natural rubber are also excellent, non-toxic choices.

2. Choose a Teether for Your Baby's Age and Stage

Teething is a process, and the right teether can change as your baby grows.

  • Early Teething (4-6 months): When the first signs of teething appear, babies need something soft and gentle. Choose a lightweight teether made from soft silicone with mild textures.

  • Active Teething (6+ months): Once your baby is in the full throes of teething, they'll appreciate a teether with more varied and satisfying textures. Denser silicone, textured surfaces, and even safe, solid wood can provide greater relief for sore gums.

3. Look for Smart, Functional Design

The best teethers are designed for both pain relief and developmental play.

  • Easy to Hold: Look for ergonomic shapes with handles or rings that are easy for tiny hands to grasp and control. The teether should be sized appropriately for your baby's mouth—not so small it's a choking hazard, and not so large it's uncomfortable.

  • Serves Multiple Purposes: Some of the most innovative teethers have features like soft bristles to gently clean gums or bumps on the back that are perfect for applying teething gel accurately.

  • Hygienic for Travel: For parents on the go, look for teethers that come with a travel case or have a clever "flip" design to keep the chewing surfaces clean inside a diaper bag.

4. Ensure It's Durable and Easy to Clean

A teether needs to be strong and simple to sanitize.

  • Durability: It should be made from a strong material that won't tear or break apart. Before giving it to your baby, give it a firm tug to ensure no small parts can come loose.

  • Ease of Cleaning: Make your life easier by choosing a teether that is dishwasher-safe or can be cleaned in a steam sterilizer. At a minimum, you should be able to wash it thoroughly with soap and hot water. Some advanced silicone teethers even incorporate antimicrobial technology to help keep them hygienically cleaner between washes.

A Crucial Note on Safety

Always supervise your baby while they are using a teether. Regularly inspect it for any signs of wear and tear, and discard it if it's damaged. Never use items that are not specifically designed as teethers, especially toys with small parts that could become a choking hazard.

Ready to Find a Teething Solution?

By focusing on safety, materials, and smart design, you can confidently choose the perfect teether to comfort your baby through this challenging but important milestone.

9 Baby Hacks and Must-Haves to Make a New Mom's Life Easier

Being a mother in this modern era is not easy. The challenges are complex, and you're expected to be a master of time management and financial planning. You’ve probably heard people telling you that you need a stroller, a teether, a sterilizer—but with so many options out there, how do you know what kind to get?

Here, we give you the inside scoop on the real must-have items and the hacks that make all the difference.

9 Baby Hacks to Make Mom’s Life Easier

1. Stroller and Car Seat

  • What they don’t tell you: You need a travel system AND a lightweight stroller.
Yes, this is the top of the list because you can't leave the hospital without a car seat. A travel system is a lifesaver, allowing you to click the car seat out of its base and onto your stroller without waking the baby. But you won't always want to push that heavy system around. Having a second lightweight, easily collapsible umbrella stroller on hand for quick trips will save you tons of time and effort.

2. Baby Blankets

  • What they don’t tell you: Get swaddle blankets made from a large, stretchy material.
Swaddling comforts babies by reminding them of their snug days in the womb, helping them self-soothe and sleep better. But a difficult-to-use blanket is useless. Look for large swaddles (around 47x47 inches) made from a soft, breathable, and stretchy fabric like bamboo rayon or organic cotton. This gives you plenty of room to get a secure wrap that your little escape artist can't kick off in seconds.

3. Baby Carrier

  • What they don’t tell you: Try it on before you buy it.
A baby carrier that’s actually comfortable will be your best friend. Don't just buy one online without testing it. You need to look for one with easily adjustable straps for your shoulders and hips. This allows you to evenly distribute the baby's weight and save yourself from serious back pain.

4. Breast Pump

  • What they don’t tell you: Portability and a "closed system" are key.
If you plan on nursing and pumping, you need a reliable pump. If you’re heading back to work or are always on the go, invest in a sturdy, daily-use pump. Look for a portable "closed system" pump. This hygienic design has a barrier to prevent milk from getting into the tubing, making it safer and easier to clean.

5. Feeding Essentials

  • What they don’t tell you: An anti-colic venting system is a non-negotiable feature.
When choosing bottles, the most important feature is one that helps reduce gas and discomfort. Look for bottles with a built-in anti-colic venting system. These are designed to let air in while preventing your baby from swallowing it, which can make a huge difference for a gassy baby. A wide-neck design made from soft silicone also makes cleaning much easier.

6. Diaper Bag

  • What they don’t tell you: Get one you don’t mind calling your purse.
You'll be carrying this bag everywhere. As long as it has tons of pocket space, a washable matte finish, and straps that easily attach to your stroller, you’ll be good to go. Choose a style you genuinely love!

7. Teething Toy

  • What they don’t tell you: Look for one that's ergonomic and can apply teething gel.
There will come a time when you’ll do anything to make teething pain go away. The most effective teethers are more than just cute. Look for one made from FDA-approved food-grade silicone with an ergonomic design that's perfect for small hands to hold. The best ones have textured bumps on the head that not only feel good on sore gums but are also perfect for applying teething gel right to the source of the pain.

8. Breastfeeding Pillow

  • What they don’t tell you: You need a compact one for travel.
You will come to rely on this pillow to save your back during countless feeding sessions. In addition to your main one at home, get a second nursing pillow that’s compact and easy to carry around. This makes feeding on the go, at a friend's house, or while traveling infinitely more comfortable.

9. Baby Toys

  • What they don’t tell you: Buy toys that serve more than one purpose.
Raising a baby is expensive, so choose your toys wisely. The best toys are open-ended and multi-functional. Look for items made from durable materials like food-grade silicone or wood that can be a teether, a stacking toy, a bath toy, and even a baking mold all in one. The more ways a child can play with it, the more value it provides over time.

Always remember—everyone’s experience is different. So, don’t feel compelled to adopt our exact recommendations. This is what has worked well for us. But if you consider the essential categories and features we mentioned, you’ll be more than prepared for your baby

Take a deep breath. It’s all going to be great!

Baby Teething 101: A Parent's Guide to Teethers, Symptoms & Pain Relief

Teething can be one of the least fun parts of early development. Symptoms vary widely, but for many babies, it can mean lost sleep, crying in pain, and rashes from constant drooling. As a parent, you'll naturally start thinking about giving your baby a teether. But this brings up a lot of questions: When is the right time? Does my baby really need one? And with so many options, what kind of teether should I choose?

This guide will walk you through everything you need to know.

Does My Baby Really Need a Teether?

While some lucky babies seem to sail through teething without much fuss, for most, growing teeth causes pain and discomfort. You may notice your baby crying more, producing a lot more saliva, and acting nervous or fussy, especially at night.

This is where teething toys become beneficial. Not only do they help relieve a baby’s pain by providing a safe, satisfying surface to chew on, but they also support cognitive development. The simple act of using a teether helps a baby practice crucial motor skills: they must see the toy, coordinate their hands to grab it, and guide it into their mouth.

When Should I Give My Baby a Teether?

If you notice your little one trying to chew on everything in sight—their hands, your shirt, the remote—it's probably time to introduce a teether.

Teething can start as early as 3 months old or as late as 14 months. The exact timing and which teeth appear first often depend on family history and genetics. Typically, the two lower front teeth are the first to emerge, followed by the two upper front teeth. Most children will have their full set of 20 primary teeth before they turn 3 years old.

How to Choose the Perfect Teether for Your Baby

A good quality teething toy should be durable, BPA-free, easy for your baby to hold, and safe to chew on, with no hard or sharp edges. Instead of thinking in "stages," it's more helpful to think about the teether's material, shape, and function.

1. Materials Matter

  • Silicone: This is the most popular choice for a reason. 100% food-grade or medical-grade silicone is soft, flexible, durable, and free from harmful chemicals. It's also easy to clean and can often be chilled for extra relief.

  • Natural Rubber: Made from the sap of rubber trees, this is another excellent, non-toxic option. It has a natural elasticity and softness that babies love.

  • Wood: Unfinished, smoothly sanded wood (like maple) is a great natural, non-toxic, and naturally antimicrobial option.

2. Shape and Function

  • Rings and Simple Shapes: These are classic for a reason. They are easy for the youngest babies to grasp and maneuver into their mouths.

  • Ergonomic Handled Teethers: Many modern teethers have fun shapes with built-in handles, making them incredibly easy for little hands to hold securely. This helps babies build independence.

  • Teethers with Bristles: Some teethers have soft silicone bristles that act as a gum massager and a gentle introduction to the sensation of a toothbrush.

  • Teethers that can be Chilled: Any solid silicone teether is safe to put in the refrigerator (never the freezer, as it can get too hard and damage gums) for cooling relief on inflamed gums.

3. Hygiene and Convenience

  • Look for teethers that are easy to clean (dishwasher-safe is a huge plus!).

  • Consider teethers that come with a travel case or have a "flip" design to keep the chewing surfaces clean inside a diaper bag.

  • A teether that can attach to a pacifier clip is a lifesaver for preventing it from constantly falling on the floor.

Safety First: A Non-Negotiable Rule

Always supervise a baby while they are using a teether. When choosing one, make sure it is large enough that they cannot fit the entire thing in their mouth.

Crucially, do not use items that are not meant to be teethers. Toys with small parts that could fall off are a serious choking hazard. Never use teething necklaces or amber beads, as they pose a risk of strangulation and choking. Stick to products specifically designed and safety-tested for teething. And don’t forget to regularly inspect and clean your baby’s teethers!
